Rental Terms and Conditions

Travel & Mileage

• Permitted Area: Use is restricted to Cape Town and a 150km radius. Prior written arrangement is required for travel beyond this limit.

• Daily Allowance: Each rental includes 100km free per day.

• Excess Mileage: Additional distance is charged at R2,50 per km.

Deposits & Payments

• Security Deposit: A refundable R5,000 deposit is required. This will be returned within 7 working days post-rental.

• Payment Methods: We accept Cash (ZAR), EFT, or Card.

  • Note: A 3.5% merchant fee applies to all card transactions. Foreign currency is not accepted.

• Card Security: Valid card details must be kept on file for any traffic violations received after your deposit has been refunded.

Fuel & Cleaning

• Fuel Policy: Vehicles are delivered with a full tank and must be returned full.

  • If returned unfilled: Fuel cost + R100 admin fee applies.

• Cleaning Fee: A mandatory R200 cleaning fee applies to all rentals.

Fines & Damages

• Violations: All traffic fines incur a R400 administrative penalty in addition to the fine amount.

• Liability: The Renter is responsible for all damages and violations. These may be deducted directly from the security deposit.

Extensions & Late Fees

• Notice Period: Extensions require 48 hours’ notice prior to contract expiry.

• Confirmation: The balance for the extension must be paid within 24 hours of the request.

• Penalties: Late payments for extensions incur a R200 per day penalty.

Vehicle Care & Responsibility

• Authorized Driver: The Renter is the sole operator of the vehicle unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Long-Term Rentals (30 days or more): Renters must regularly check oil, water, and tyre pressure.

  • Failure to perform these checks makes the Renter fully liable for any resulting mechanical damage.
